It’s been a long time!

June 27, 2009 at 4:55 pm (It's just my life, TV)

So, I spent the first full month i had this summer in Kansas City with Neeraj. It was awesome. I just got back to my house and it feels so good to be back. I loved sleeping in my own bed. It was heavenly. I am stalling doing things because I have to mow my yard tonight when it gets a little cooler. I have never mowed my own lawn before. I am kind of nervous I will screw up my mower. Oh well. I hope there is still a warranty.

Anyway, I have been taking care of two dogs while i have been here. My roommate left her dog here for the weekend while she went to a wedding somewhere else. I don’t mind for the most part, but it is like I don’t really have the liberty to leave the house either.

Anyway, I have been catching up on some of my shows lately and I am so excited that a new season of saving grace is on… I love that show. And, the first two episodes of this new season has been outstanding!!

I think I will watch them again tonight!!

American Idol – Goodbye Danny Gokey

May 15, 2009 at 2:21 pm (Music, TV)

I don’t know what it is about this show now, but it seems so stacked. If Kris Allen hadn’t performed that Kanye West song Danny would so be in the finale and there would actually be a competition. Now, there is no way for Kris to win. Everyone knows Adam was going to win all along, but for those of us who loved Danny even more, there was at least some hope to take him down. Now that Danny Gokey is out he can start making records. I agree with Paula that he has the sexiest voice ever. He doesn’t rely on a falsetto and screaming like Adam. Also, he doesn’t usually stay in the same range like Kris.

I am just really bummed that Danny didn’t make it to the finale, probably because of Paula’s awful song choice… but, I know that some record company will pick him up and he will be on his way to making some beautiful music – which I will buy!

American Idol Final 7

April 15, 2009 at 3:30 pm (Music, TV)

So I was totally sad that last week I didn’t get to see Adam Lambert’s “Mad World.” I heard it was fantastic. I am not a HUGE fan of him, but I can see his talent. He is totally original.

This week, Kris Allen did one of my very favorite songs and I loved it! I thought he killed it! Danny, as always, sounded good… but I am afraid he isn’t being as original as he could. I still think he is my favorite. I also really loved Allison. She really is the girls only hope for the finals.

This week, I am suggesting that the bottom three will be Anoop, Matt, and Lil. I am not really sure who will be going home though.

American Idol this week: End of May/Start of April

April 1, 2009 at 10:32 am (TV)

I am pretty nervous about who is going home this week – tonight. I think that the bottom three will be Anoop Desai (even though he is one of my favorites), Megan Joy, and Matt Giraud. I would really love to see Megan go home. I have not been a fan of hers from the very start. I think all of her vocals sound the same and that she has no range. Also, Matt sung one of my very favorite songs at the moment and totally made is sound like a song I wouldn’t enjoy. That kind of bummed me out.

I was looking at the contestants ages and I was really surprised by how old Danny Gokey actually is. He is 28. I thought that Adam Lambert was older than he was at 26. I guess I just thought Danny was like 23 or 24. Nope, I was wrong. That happens a lot. Ha.

Anyway, I just really hope that Anoop gets to stay. I really like him. As for last night, I thought that Kris, Danny, Allison, and Adam really had something special. I didn’t really care for Adam’s song, but at least he did something new with it.

Oh the suspense…    :  )

P.S. I really loved the sign last night that said, “Go Go Gokey!” I thought that was cute.

American Idol this week

March 17, 2009 at 2:39 pm (Music, TV)

My top three favorites were Anoop, Danny, and Allison this week. After that, I liked Scott and Kris. I didn’t mind Alexis Grace, but I am a little worried. She was pretty forgettable this week for me. The most forgettable though had to have been Michael Sarver and the guy who went last, Matt. I guess it is because I am not a huge fan of those two, even though they are obviously good singers for being there.

Man, Adam Lambert is so out there. He is floating in outer space. I thought it was interesting, but he always is just ok for me. He doesn’t get me like some of the others in the way they connect with an audience. He seems too into himself. However, he can belt it though. He has a massive range. And, for the most part, he hits his pitches. Plus, he is a showman.

There are two more singers that I can’t remember right now. I obviously didn’t care for them this week. Ha.

The Bachelor and the Reality of my Life

March 2, 2009 at 4:53 pm (It's just my life, TV)

Seriously? I can’t believe that this happened…

So, the finale concluded where Jason picked Melissa! Yay! I was so excited! They were so perfect for each other. She was sweet and caring and they looked good together. I thought, yeah, this should work.

He got on the “After the Final Rose” show and dumped her. Then he immediately asked out Molly.

At first I was upset because I really wanted Jason and Melissa to work out. But then, I started thinking about the reasons why he didn’t want to be with her. He was still thinking about Molly when he was with Melissa.

I have been in that same boat for a year now. I just don’t want to lose another best friend. I know what I need to do in my head and heart, but I can’t. I give too much of my self to the people that I date and I can’t bare to lose another best friend. When I lost Neeraj it crushed me. I went into a deep form of depression and I didn’t like who I became. Since then, I have bounced back from that and tried to put that feeling far behind me. Nevertheless, I still love Neeraj.

At one point, not too long ago, I was going to go to KC and see about talking to him. Since then I have thought it over and I feel like that would only make things worse. I feel like he is happier without me. I hope that he is happy. I am sure he is. He just has to be. Anyway, I deserve to be miserable. I deserve to always wake up and realize that I am in love with someone who I can never be with. Never.

I am still going to break it off with Adam. He isn’t the one for me. We can’t communicate and we are not on the same level. I need someone who can challenge me mentally. I need someone who I can talk to for hours upon end. I had that. I loved it. I need it still and I just don’t feel challenged. Plus, it will never work with him if I still think about someone else everyday anyway. I still wake up thinking about Neeraj and I go to sleep at night thinking about him. It is a neverending, undying love. I wish I would have seen it before when I was young and when I needed to see it.

I wish I would have done what Jason did and asked Neeraj to give it one more shot… who knows what would have happened…

American Idol – Group 2

February 25, 2009 at 5:27 pm (TV)

This week I had 4 favorites.

My first favorite was Allison Iraheta. She sang “Alone” by Heart and she killed it! It was awesome. I have actually been to see Heart and she would have been proud I think! She is so young but so bold. She has the most amazing color of hair ever. It is like a maroon-pinkish color but it works for her.

The next one I liked was Kris Allen. He sang “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson and he also did a really great song. Unlike the guy who sang the Michael Jackson song in the previous week, he nailed it and put his own twist on it. It was nice. I was tapping my toe and smiling the whole time he was singing. Plus, he was fun to look at.

Another of the four was Kai Kalama. He sang “What Becomes of the Broken Heart” and I really just liked his stage presence and his voice.

And finally, I really liked Adam Lambert. He was sassy with his version of “Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones. He has this star quality about him. He seems really marketable. That is a good quality for this show. Also, I am so diggin’ his black hair. He is pretty hot, in a metro kind of way.

Overall, I think I still like Anoop and Danny. Now for the girls, I really like this Allison Iraheta. She is only 16. Rock it girl!
